More Than a School
Families, former pupils, staff and neighbours: our community stretches well beyond the school gates.
Working in Partnership with Families
We keep families closely involved, whether they live in Cheltenham or on the other side of the world. Tutors and houseparents are always the first point of contact, and parents receive regular reports, newsletters and invitations to events.
Our Friends of The Great Duke association organises social events, welcomes new families and raises funds for projects that benefit every pupil. All parents are members.
Parents of current pupils can find term dates, letters, reports and consent forms in the parent portal.
Once a Duke, Always a Duke
Our former pupils stay part of the school. Many return to speak to current students about their courses and careers, offer work experience, or simply visit their old boarding house.
If you are a former pupil, please keep in touch so we can invite you to reunions and events. Email office@tgde.uk with your name and leaving year.
Part of the Town
Being in the centre of Cheltenham is a privilege, and we try to give back. Pupils volunteer with local charities and schools, perform at local events and join the town's festivals. Where we can, we share our facilities with community groups and local schools.
If your organisation would like to work with us, we would be glad to hear from you.
