Keeping Children Safe
Safeguarding
The safety and welfare of every pupil is our highest priority. Everyone who works at or with the school shares that responsibility.
Our Commitment
We follow the statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education and the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools, and work closely with Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership.
- All staff, governors and volunteers are recruited safely, with enhanced DBS and other pre-employment checks.
- Everyone receives safeguarding training on joining and regular updates throughout the year.
- Pupils are taught how to stay safe, including online, and know whom they can talk to.
- Boarders have access to an independent listener and to outside helplines, displayed in every house.
- Our safeguarding policy is reviewed every year by the governing body.
