Ages 11–16

Senior School

From Year 7 to GCSE, pupils follow a broad and demanding curriculum, taught in small classes by subject specialists who know them well.

Ambitious, Broad and Personal

We want pupils to leave the Senior School with excellent GCSEs, and with much more besides: curiosity, the habit of reading, the confidence to speak and the self-discipline to work independently.

Classes are small, so teachers can stretch the most able, support anyone who needs it and get to know how each pupil learns. Homework, or prep for boarders, is set regularly and builds the independent study habits that pay off in the Sixth Form and beyond.

Every pupil has a personal tutor, who meets them regularly to review progress and set goals, and who keeps in close contact with families.
