Guidance at Every Stage

  1. Years 9 to 11Careers lessons, profiling and interviews help pupils explore their interests and choose GCSE and A Level subjects with the future in mind.
  2. Lower Sixth, autumnAn introduction to higher education, apprenticeships and careers, with talks from universities and employers.
  3. Lower Sixth, spring and summerUniversity visits, work experience, the EPQ and research into courses. Personal statements begin.
  4. Upper Sixth, autumnOne-to-one support with UCAS applications, references and interview practice. Early deadlines for Oxford, Cambridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.
  5. Upper Sixth, springOffers, decisions and preparation for interviews, auditions and admissions tests.
  6. Results day and beyondStaff are in school on results day to support students through confirmation, Clearing and any change of plans.
Competitive Courses

A dedicated programme for students applying to Oxford and Cambridge, medicine, dentistry, veterinary science and law, with extension reading, admissions test preparation and mock interviews with specialists.

Studying Overseas

Advice for students considering universities in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, including entrance tests, applications and scholarships.

Apprenticeships and Work

Guidance on degree apprenticeships, school-leaver programmes and gap years, with support for applications and assessment centres.
